Meet Helen Pugh… @ablepreneurs
“Ablepreneurs exists because of my own experience, being unable to continue to navigate the traditional workplace due to disability and chronic illness. Seeing how easy it is for capable people to be overlooked. Not because they aren’t talented, but because the system isn’t designed for people like us.
I started Ablepreneurs to support people building businesses alongside disability, long-term health conditions, or life experiences that don’t fit the usual narrative, because I’ve lived that journey myself. This isn’t about lowering expectations or asking for sympathy; it’s about creating access, understanding, and real opportunities for people like me and so many others.
For me, entrepreneurship should be flexible, human, and inclusive. When we design support that reflects real lives, everyone benefits, the businesses, the people, the communities.
Ablepreneurs is still growing, but the purpose is clear: helping people build sustainable businesses in ways that work for them, in ways that work for us.”
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to follow the journey or join the conversation.
